Winning Brands Registration with U.S. Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES)

Leading Points Group and Winning Brands Commence Alliance

Feb 5, 2009 - Barrie, Ontario -
Winning Brands Corporation (Pink Sheets: WNBD, Frankfurt: WMU) www.WinningBrands.ca and Leading Points Corporation www.LeadingPoints.com  announce the commencement of their cooperation to acquaint U.S. military personnel with products manufactured by Winning Brands.

An agreement between Winning Brands and Leading Points has been executed by which Leading Points will be authorized to represent Winning Brands in placing products on the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) Source List, the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEX COM) Source List, the Coast Guard Exchange System (CGES) Source List, and the Marine Corps Exchange System (MCX) Source List amongst other activities in the nature of military procurement. The combined market reach of the Exchange stores exceeds 30 million people.

Unlike conventional representation arrangements which are primarily sales oriented, Winning Brands and Leading Points’ cooperation is focused on identifying opportunities for Winning Brands to assist the United States government to reduce costs and/or improve the performance and value associated with government consumption of products in the categories that apply to Winning Brands through production, research and development.

Winning Brands CEO, Eric Lehner, has set out the mission this way: “...delivering value and performance that will make procurement personnel proud, leave the consuming military consumers satisfied and our shareholders gratified that their confidence in Winning Brands Corporation is well placed.  Let us also set a new standard of high regard for the honour that the opportunity to supply the U.S. government should represent.  There are too many individuals and companies who think of supplying goods and services to government as an opportunity to pad.  Instead, let’s internalize into our corporate culture that it is a matter of civic duty to be efficient in the value that we deliver to the United States government.”

Lieutenant Colonel Kevin T. K. Sullivan (Ret.), President of Leading Points, and Thomas Graham, Manager, Winning Brands’ U.S. Government Procurement Office, are the operational personnel responsible for implementation of the accord.

Leading Points and Winning Brands are particularly well suited for the implementation of ties with military organizations because of their mutual desire to deliver a new era of service and efficiency to government procurement outcomes.  In Sullivan’s words, the effect of success in this mission will be beneficial to all concerned. “We’re enthusiastic about these products” said Sullivan, “they’re the right product at the right time.”

Graham adds, “As a past military man, I can think of nothing better than to be a part of the process that delivers to our servicemen and servicewomen the outstanding products that Winning Brands has to offer - in addition to making them available to all government employees as we move forward.”

Winning Brands production takes place at the Grand Rapids, Michigan facility of Surefil LLC and at the facilities of Winning Brands’ subsidiary Niagara Mist Marketing Limited in St. Catharines, Ontario.  Winning Brands’ goal is to replace hazardous chemicals in widespread use with safer alternatives, with an initial emphasis on cleaning products.  Its leading brands currently include Winning Colours Stain Remover, known for its versatility, power and skin friendliness as an alternative to conventional solvents, SMART™ Wet Cleaning Solutions used in professional garment care to reduce or eliminate the need for Perchloroethylene in conventional dry cleaning, KIND™ Laundry Products for domestic garment care through professional grade performance and industrial & special sector cleaning with CLEAN1™ spray and concentrates.
