Winning Brands Prepares for First U.S. Grocery Chain Listing
Electronic Data Interchange Capability Plays Crucial Role

(June 8, 2009) Barrie, Ontario, Canada - Winning Brands Corporation (OTC: WNBD) (Frankfurt: WMU.F), manufacturer and marketer of eco-responsible cleaning solutions, including its popular new Winning Colours Stain Remover, announced today that it will begin sales of Winning Colours in its first U.S. grocery store chain this summer. “Further information about this breakthrough will be announced. We are informing shareholders about our preparation for this material development now because of its significance. It is important because the grocery chain partner will be the first U.S. chain retailer outside the home improvement sector to carry Winning Colours Stain Remover. The ability to penetrate many sectors with a single versatile product is the key feature of our business plan. The grocery sector reaches more people in the country than any other.” said CEO Eric Lehner.

The new listing, starting with 15% of a 600 store group, was aided by Winning Brands’ progress toward implementing EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). EDI permits Winning Brands to exchange purchase orders, invoices and shipping information directly between associated computers of participants rather than manually on either end. “With this new capability, Winning Brands can comply with administrative protocols of any large U.S. retailers that are not already served by a Winning Brands distributor, such as the grocery sector. EDI integration by Winning Brands will be completed in June 2009,” Mr. Lehner said.

There are some 50 well known grocery banners operated by multi-state store groups in the U.S. and together these groups operate approximately 35,000 supermarket locations with sales over $2 million each. “With the first retail chain in the grocery sector stepping forward to work with Winning Brands, we gain an additional way for Winning Colours Stain Remover to become a household name in America. Every American household has cleaning uses for Winning Colours Stain Remover and over 100 million shoppers go to supermarkets regularly to find basic household consumables,” Mr. Lehner said.

Winning Colours, beyond its extraordinary stain removing prowess, delivers enormous value as a multi-cleaner when diluted with water. “The strategic importance of this dual nature of Winning Colours is difficult to over-emphasize. Mainstream supermarkets are more value-conscious than ever. A single bottle of Winning Colours at a retail price of $9.95 easily equates to 10-20 bottles of conventional multi-cleaner. Winning Colours Stain Remover is so economical as a multi-cleaner that it qualifies as a value-leader for this category. As word spreads amongst consumers, Winning Colours is becoming the new favourite cleaner for many. The listing details of the new grocery retailer will be disclosed in concert with the first shipment of goods this summer,” Mr. Lehner concluded.
