ANSWER

Fred was in my office last Thursday, and said something wonderful: “Eric, I love what I do with Winning Brands.  I was made for it.”   That may explain why Fred is so well received in his travels.  Remember, we have to be fair to him because he came out of an early retirement following the sale of a business.  Therefore Fred is helping us out, but has other interests to accommodate as well.  Regardless, he is still finding time, every week, to get out there and do what he does best.  To broaden his opportunities, we’ve re-designed his assignment from being Canadian Tire “everywhere” to being every participating retailer within a defined zone, including Home Depot.  In the case of HD, he will be assisting the Merchandising Execution Team (described in an earlier post).  The great news in from the MET is that we have just been approved to have brochure display units affixed to shelving in certain stores as a test.  There are some floor racks in place, however this retailer, at this time, is not able to accommodate more within its current plan-o-gram.  Now that Fred has access to the Mini-Display units,  a greater variety of retailers can try them out.  In the photo below, taken earlier, Fred is shown at Canadian Tire prior to the switch-over to 1000+.   Our most recent delivery to our Canadian distributor of several thousand bottles consisted entirely of 1000+ inventory, in order to migrate into Canadian Tire and other banners.
